Heavy Multi-blade trimming machine
FL linear trimming machines are part of the wide range of trimming machines designed and built by DONATONI for single-pass lengthwise cutting of strips and tiles with the manual positioning system.
They are designed to trim exceptionally hard materials – porphyry, slate – and have also found many applications in the marble and granite sector.

FEATURES
The series of FL linear trimming machines:
- they are made of a sturdy solid and compact steel structure;
- they have a support table made of a thick motorised rubber belt with adjustable forward speed according to the thickness and type of material to be cut;
- they have a device that automatically slows down the conveyor belt speed when cutting whenever any one of the cutting units exceeds its maximum installed power limits;
- they can install a different number of units – up to a maximum of 5 – to adapt to varying processing and production requirements;
- they work with an independent belt drive system for each spindle/motor with the possibility of varying RPM depending on the type of material being cut;
- they can cut one after another different size slabs thanks to spindle/motor units that have independent drive movements. Each unit has a display that shows the position of the spindle and makes it easier for the operator to make the cuts;
- they offer processing flexibility because each spindle performs an electromechanical vertical movement that determines the depth the disks cut into the material and also permit disks to be excluded from the cutting process;
- they have a system of side guides that ensure excellent trimming with good tolerances and constant dimensions in the cutting zone;
- they have a pneumatically opened sound-deadening cabin on the upper part of the cutting units so that the machine complies with current worksite safety and noise-abatement requirements;
- have two exhaust fans that help abate water vapours and prevent these from spreading throughout the work area.
